…has helped individuals and families beat painful addictions and discover happier, more fulfilling lives. The Thorpe Recovery Centre (TRC) is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing client-centred, and community based addiction services.
TRC offers medically supported detox, transition programming, a 45-90 day residential program, after care program and intensive program offerings.
The Addictions Counsellor functions as a member of the muiti-disciplinary care team to provide services that promote wellness while empowering individuals to achieve their highest level of functioning. In delivering these services, the Addictions Counsellor utilizes a case management approach, consulting with their clinical team and other supporting agencies. The Addictions Counsellor is required to provide coordination in the areas of case management, case planning, and implementation of programming. The Addictions Counsellor provides support to program offerings including (but not limited to): Detox, Transition, Residential and Intensive Programs.
Addictions Support Worker (ASW)
This position provides support to the clients and staff at TRC. This position promotes active recovery by engaging clients in recreation, activities and provides transportation for clients to off-site meetings and events. In coordination with the clinical care team, the Addictions Support Worker (ASW) works with administration, coworkers and other agencies to support TRC’s commitment in order to maximize recovery and clients engagement throughout the recovery process.

The Addictions Administrator provides client support while maintaining the safety, well-being and security of the facility.
